GRILLED ICE CREAM

The aim of this small group project (working with Aylin Patterson-Aykent and Judith Kress) is to learn the metal modeling techniques.

The heat from the fuel paste accumulates under the hood and the biscuits on the grate are heated equally. After grilling, the flame can be stifled with the lid.

Recipe

  • Butter biscuits
  • 500ml your favorite ice cream
  • 3 eggs (only egg whites)
  • 250 ml sugar syrup
  • 1 pack of vanilla sugar
  • 100g powdered sugar

Separate the egg whites from the yolks and mix them with the sugar syrup, then with powdered sugar and vanilla sugar. Make sure to stir the mixture very well, until you have a nice foam that stays in shape.

Apply a layer of the foam to the biscuit, add a scoop of ice cream on top of it. Cover the ice cream with a thick layer of foam. Place the covered biscuit on the grill and close the hood. The grilled ice is ready when the ice cream turns to a little bit brown. The ice remains frozen and enjoy it!
